Hello, art lovers!

Artists at Work, our debut podcast, shares stories from people who make art their business.

After four pilot episodes late last year, we're gearing up to bring you 12 brand new episodes in 2019. Episodes begin on January 17th and will come out every other Thursday.

We're excited at some of the guests we have lined up for you:

  • Carol Piersol, Artistic Director of 5th Wall Theatre

  • Princess Johnson, Founding Director of Royal Expressions Contemporary Ballet

  • Bill Martin, Executive Director of The Valentine

  • Noah Scalin, artist, author, and consultant.

And that’s just the beginning! We want to grow Artists at Work into an informative and inspirational resource for artists and arts administrators alike. We need your help!

Become a Fan

The simplest thing to do is to become a Fan of the show:

Fan (FREE)
Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @artstitution.
Share Artists at Work with your friends.
Receive an email newsletter to notify you of the latest episodes and news
Attend Facebook Live Q&A events.

Become a Patron

We're also thrilled to offer an Artists at Work membership: the AAW Patrons.

Your membership helps us to cover the costs of producing the show—website hosting, member management services, and the creative tools we need—and ultimately able to grow our team and bring you more good things in the future.

Our goal is $1,000.

This goal will help us cover six months of production costs while we bring you season 1. We hope to be able to say our show is 100% by artists, for artists, supported by artists and their patrons. Anything beyond that will be saved for, if all goes well, season 2 of the show!

Each donor during our season one campaign has the opportunity to become a Patron! Any donation you can give will help us continue to produce episodes advertisement-free. You can give a one-time donation, or set up a monthly recurring donation to help us sustain the show into the future.

By becoming a Patron, you’ll help our show thrive, receive the free Fan benefits, plus the following perks:

Patron ($1-$25)
A shout-out on social media.
Submit your thoughts on the show to us and they could be read at the end of an episode.

Contributor ($25 or $3/month)
PLUS early access to each episode on Wednesday, with behind-the-scenes content
Recognition in the AAW newsletter.

Director ($40 or $5/month)
PLUS a special bonus podcast on Thursdays in between regular episodes with our Founding Director’s thoughts on the latest episode, answers to your questions, and interview material that didn’t make the episode.

Associate Producer ($100 or $10/month)
PLUS provide your vote on which people and/or topics will be covered in a future episode.

Producer ($200 or $20/month)
PLUS hear your name in the credits of every episode.

Executive Producer ($500 or $60/month)
PLUS monthly one-on-one meetings with the Founding Director to talk about the show, future episode ideas, the arts, arts administration, the weather, your favorite pet. Really, anything!

We value your privacy. If you do not wish to be listed or named in an episode, please select ”No” and we’ll take care of the rest. Thank you for your support!

Thank you for your support so far. I’ll be back on the 17th with the premiere of season one on Thursday, January 17th, featuring 5th Wall Theatre’s Carol Piersol!

I work with Carol on the board of directors for 5th Wall and she immediately came to mind to kick off the season. She’s an amazing artist and artistic director, and I thoroughly enjoyed our interview. I know you will, too.
